      Duration - 12 Month contract

      Global Product and Supply Chain Management (PTS) connects the different parts of Roche to ensure worldwide reliable supply to patients, connecting their needs to the Roche Pharma Global Supply Network. This network consists of Roche manufacturing sites, contract manufacturers and external suppliers. Lastly, PTS leads Product Management Teams within PT, develops and implements product strategies as well as designs and optimizes full supply chains from raw materials to final product throughout the whole product life cycle.

      The Global Master Data Operations team delivers high quality master data to PT. In collaboration with stakeholders, peers, and customers, it constantly aims to simplify, harmonize, and automate data and processes across regions and systems to reduce lead-time and increase data quality. The team is composed of data maintenance, data process, and system experts who enable the supply chain to ensure fast and affordable delivery of medicines to our patients.

      The Master Data Specialist (MDS) is part of the Global Master Data Operations (GMDO) team and supports it with tailored services regarding the provision of high-quality master data. The role is vital to enable critical supply chain and manufacturing processes. The MDS sustains various global master data maintenance systems and operational processes in close collaboration with the local and global functional experts. Moreover, the MDS strives for the continuous improvement of data and the relevant systems in which it resides.

      Primary duties and responsibilities:

      The core responsibility of the MDS is end-to-end master data maintenance and leading continuous improvement and implementation projects. In addition, the MDS coaches the AMDS by providing guidance on solving problems and making decisions and may deputize the MDSS.

      • Collect, consolidate, maintain (CRUD), audit, and cleanse master data in various systems across regions in collaboration with the local and global functional experts, including mass changes

      • Ensure right first time including all pre-checks and evaluation of correct parameters

      • Adhere to the service level agreement (SLA)

      • Identify and report maintenance related issues, analyze root-causes, and resolve issues

      • Support the business with master data solutions and special requests

      • Audit data in IDQ, manage master data discrepancies in Veeva, and work with the business to correct and prevent errors, ensuring records are synchronized, accurate, & complete

      • Actively contribute in the further development of data standards and templates

      • Identify and lead continuous improvement and implementation projects to reduce lead time and increase data quality such as automation (ex. RPA) and data/process improvements

      • Provide input for the development of training and documentation and support onboarding of new team members

      • Collaborate with stakeholders, team members, and internal partners

      • Report workload and progress on a regular basis to the Team Lead

      Qualifications & Experience:

      • Bachelor’s degree OR specialized diploma with experience

      • Experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Manufacturing Operations in a global environment with strong knowledge of business processes in pharmaceutical supply chain

      • At least 7-10 years of experience in master data maintenance, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry, with a focus in SAP MM, PP, SD, or QM modules, SAP APO, SAP TM, SAP EWM, or OMP

      • Experience with MDG-M or S/4HANA and proficiency in the German language are an asset

      • Knowledge and experience of delivering projects in an agile framework

      • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both orally and in writing in English

      • Competency with MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint) and experience with document sharing systems
