      Rochester Master Electrician

      The Master Electrician is designated as the Responsible Licensed Individual for assigned departments with duties defined in Minnesota Statute- responsible for performing work related to electrical projects and provides planning, oversight, direction and inspection of electrical work/projects performed by other qualified teammates that is potentially or specifically subject to City/State review/inspection. Primary areas of responsibility include inspection, maintenance, and repairs to electrical systems, heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), plumbing, mechanical, structural, security and building automation systems. Secondary tasks may include carpentry, painting, custodial, and grounds work, etc.

      Education and Experience
      Completion of an accredited Electrical or Electronics Technology program, AND 2 years of experience as a licensed Master Electrician
      OR
      A high school diploma or equivalent, completion of an approved Apprentice Electrician program, AND 6 years of experience as a licensed Master Electrician
