      We are looking for a Master Scheduler to support our team at our corporate location in Cincinnati, Ohio.

      Summary:

      The Master Scheduler is primarily responsible for Master Production Scheduling (MPS) for LSI’s Blue Ash Assembly and Pole plants. The goal is 100% order fulfillment to Promised Ship dates given to our customers. The incumbent is responsible for assimilating the input from sales to generate an optimized level loaded schedule that makes best use of all key resources (people, materials, and machines) with buy-in from key stakeholder functions: Sales, Plant Operations, Human Resources, Engineering, Supply Chain Management.

      Supervisory Responsibilities:

      • Leads Planners at both facilities.

      Primary Responsibilities:

      • Manages demand in long term planning horizon utilizing generated forecast, strategic plan, and available resources.
      • Works closely with sales, customer service, and various plants to determine production requirement/needs.
      • Analyzes and prioritizes competing demands.
      • Creates and maintains overall capacity plants.
      • Assists in planning of new production introductions and discontinuation.
      • Applies analytical problem-solving methods to determine root cause of issues.
      • Makes timely decisions in a dynamic, fast paced environment.
      • Leads/Supports other projects as needed by the business.
      • Works closely with Sales, Operations, Engineering, Plant Production Schedulers, Material requirements, and Plant Managers and their Planners.
      • Seeks ways to reduce internal lead times as well as lead times to customers through performance improvement projects working directly with the plants and with the sales teams.
      • Ensures that the master schedule can be used for material and capacity planning as well as financial planning.

      Requirements:

      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
      • Knowledge and strong utilization of Microsoft application such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
      • Successfully applies knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of a particular area/specialization.
      • Ability to communicate and build relationships across all functional areas and locations.
      • Customer focused and passionate about achieving the best business results.
      • Strong attention to detail, good organizational skills, and self-motivated to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
      • Demonstrated values of collaboration, ownership, integrity, and care.
      • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
      • Ability to deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
      • Ability to compile and present data in a format that facilitates efficient information sharing and decision making.

      Preferred:

      • Bachelor’s Degree, ideally in Supply Chain Management or relevant field.
      • 2 years of experience as Master Production Scheduler (MPS).
      • Experience in Lighting manufacturing industry.
      • Strong knowledge of ERP systems.
      • Lean and continuous improvement knowledge.
      • APIC Certification Preferred
