      John Deere is Looking for Material Coordinator and are welcoming recent Grads with BS is Supply Chain/Supply Management/Business Administation and is having good knowledge of SAP/Excel

      Material Coordinator


      Location: Horicon, WI
      Duration: 12 Months

      Description:
      Coordinates the flow of materials in multiple departments of the factory, which may include shipping and receiving.Ensures that the production personnel have the parts they need in order to produce the desired product(s).
      Oversees and ensures that the inventory is correct and on time and identifies problems and makes suggestions involving production schedules.
      Coordinates the activities for the tactical execution of a production plan within the factory.
      Works in larger and broader groups.
      May supervise or provide work direction to hourly material handlers, stock chasers, or truckers.

      Duties:
      Coordinates for multiple departments the procuring, expediting, producing and delivering material on time.
      Includes managing the movement of rejected material to source.
      Recommends procedures for specific situations that will maintain inventory accuracy and management.
      Finds and corrects root cause of material shortages.
      May provide recommendations for solutions.
      Utilizes Master Schedule to create and distribute daily production schedules.
      May include the processing of transactions for inbound/outbound materials.
      Audits material replenishment cycles and accuracy and may create material replenishment plans with assistance.
      Resolves inventory errors and expedites parts to ensure uninterrupted production.
      Works critical shortage reports to ensure part availability.
      Implements the output from the engineering release and change management process.

      Specific Position Requirements
      Candidate needs to have mfg background.
      Manager would also consider recent graduates with degree in supply chain, etc.
      Manager is not looking for just warehouse, forklift, experience.

      Responsibilities:
      Support production lines
      Run critical shortage/stock out reports
      Work with mfg facilities to get parts in
      Work with supply chain; reviewing inventory
      Work with Union/operations/supervisors
      Supporting 1 production line
      Work with inventory - process inventory documents
      Running part shortage reports in SAP, following up on parts for production, running material reports and occasional ordering of parts

      Skills:
      Highly motivated
      Strong work ethic
      Should be able to manage multiple issues at a time
      Strong communicator

      Education:
      4-year degree preferred
