Play a key role within material engineering in the development of high-quality tools used by industry customers worldwide. As material engineer at Atlas Copco Industrial Technique, you and your colleagues develop world leading industrial tools - from initial idea to final product - continuously informed by customer feedback.
The role
In this role, you support your colleagues within R&D selecting polymer materials for various applications, based on design specifications, customer requirements and industry standards. You provide technical advice on plastics and manufacturing technology, and are expert advisors in materials such as plastics, lubricants, rubber and adhesives.Some of your tasks:
You collaborate cross-functionally with all R&D departments and report to Team Manager Mechanical Systems within our Mechatronics department, R&D.
City: The role is placed in Nacka, Stockholm. We have a hybrid workplace.
To succeed, you will need
You hold a master’s degree in material engineering, or other relevant academic education, and have professional experience withing the material engineering field. You are a team player with problem solving mindset and customer focus. You have broad knowledge of polymers, manufacturing processes and material testing, and enjoy educating others within your field. It is advantageous if you have professional experience in failure analysis and working in a laboratory environment.
