      Leidos’ Defense Systems is seeking a Material Expeditor to join our Manufacturing Platform Integration team located in Huntsville, Alabama. This position will work directly with management, engineering, finance, quality and production control.

      Primary Responsibilities

      • Working directly with Management and other functional teammates to include; Engineering, Quality, Finance, and Production Control.

      • Serve as the main focal point to contact vendor for PO updates.

      • Coordinate with Procurement and Subcontracts POC’s to identify strategic needs / issues.

      • Monitor, track, and report all aspects of supplier performance.

      • Track supplier risk and opportunities.

      • Implement creative solutions to ensure program requirements are upheld and that supplier performance is maintained within program constraints.

      • Mitigate and resolve supplier issues.

      • Participate in Supplier Program Management Reviews, Status Meetings, or other programmatic subcontractor meetings as required.

      • Participate in supplier assessments and other formal supplier reporting requirements.

      • Performs other related job duties as required, such as Planning.

      • Ability to lead others and work in a cohesive team environment.

      • Ability to stay focused and succeed in high-stress, dynamic, and fast paced environments.

      • Strong communication and attention to detail.

      • Experience working in manufacturing or production environment.

      • Microsoft Office Excel experience.

      • Solumina experience.

      Basic Qualifications

      • Candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree with 4 years of experience. In lieu of a degree, a High School Diploma/GED with at least 8 years of experience will be considered.

      • Manufacturing experience.

      • Microsoft Office experience.

      • Ability to communicate clearly over the phone, emails and in meetings.

      • Candidate must be a US Citizen and meet eligibility requirements to obtain and maintain Secret Clearance.

      Preferred Qualifications

      • Planning experience.

      • Deltek Costpoint.

      • Solumina experience.

      • Microsoft Office Excel.

      • Cognos & OAC Reporting Systems.

      • Security Clearance.

      Pay Range:

      Pay Range $63,700.00 - $115,150.00

      The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
