      Major Responsibilities:

      • Adhere to the Province of Alberta, ENMAX Corporation, A.E.U.C. (Alberta Electrical Utility Code) and Occupational Health and Safety rules and regulations.

      • Receive, inspect and issue incoming and outgoing shipments and materials electronically, utilizing Maximo.

      • Issue materials to crews and outside contractors including loading trucks using forklifts and other large material handling equipment.

      • Control, handle, transfer and store operating inventory including material transfer on and between warehouse locations including receipt of returned items from field operations.

      • Manage hazardous and controlled substances for disposal in compliance with Government regulations.

      • Track, issue, monitor inventory of materials using Maximo including inventory cycle counting and reconciliation.

      • Coordinate data for receiving, pre-staging and issuing materials to electrical crews and outside contractors.

      • Monitor the salvage materials returned from field, such as wire, cross-arms, pole line hardware to ensure storage, sorting and all record keeping practices are properly tracked and followed.

      • Manage and coordinate vendor relationships expectations and communicate issues with Supply Chain Management inventory buyers.

      • Receive and issue specialty application tools and equipment for outfitting field crews;

      • Repair and rebuild (or send out for repair/rebuild) specialty application tools and equipment for outfitting field crews.

      • Receive, handle and inspect new and used Distribution and Network transformers for testing, oil handling, painting and identification.

      • Manage and control of PCB's and transformer oils to WHMIS standards.

      • Ensure proper care and use of vehicles, equipment and work sites.

      Qualifications & Experience:

      • Must meet ENMAX Corporation’s requirements as to qualifications and/or must be qualified under the Alberta Skilled Trades and Apprenticeship Education Actwith respect to the related electrical trade.

      • Must have a proven safety record and thorough knowledge of Safe Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Safe Work Practices (SWPs).

      • Preference will be given to candidates with experience in stocking and material management.

      • Must be willing to become licensed and trained on all material handling equipment.

      • Must have, or be willing to obtain, certificates in First Aid, WHMIS and TDG.

      • Familiar with all computer programs and applications required in the day to day activities of Material Management. Previous experience using Maximo is preferred.

      • Ability to identify and report all work place hazards and lead or participate completing compliant tailboards as required.

      • Understands Utility structure and related practices and responsibilities.

      • Must be willing to upgrade qualifications as required.

      • Must have a valid Province of Alberta driver’s license, upgrade as required.

      Salary: As outlined in the IBEW Collective Agreement (based on 2023 rates):
      $33.50 / hour

      Shift: Regular Days: 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Shift may be changed to meet operational needs.

      Location: South Service Centre at 8820 – 52 Street SE, Calgary, AB
