- Your Job Duties:
Operate materials handling equipment, including a forklift
Ensure correctness (amount, type, etc.) of any material loaded and determine loading patterns
Complete required records and reports (such as loading tallies, bill of lading, serial numbers, etc.)
Notify the appropriate personnel, supervisor, and/or manager of any loading problems
Inspect material handling equipment and notify supervisor and/or manager of improper conditions
Assists in the removal of scrap as required
Prepare and ship LTL shipments
Clean and otherwise prepare vehicles for loading
Transport finished goods to and from designated areas, including offloading transfers properly
Placement of goods, including properly scanning product(s), into designated location
Perform bin-to-bin transactions
Visually inspect packaging for damage
Assist in off-loading, as necessary
Pull and stage parts for shipments
Participate in the safety and good housekeeping programs as established within the plant
Perform other related duties consistent with the nature of the job as directed by the supervisor
Maintain training on all applicable SOPs, LOPs, policies and procedures
What You’ll Need to Bring to the Table:
Must be at least 18 years old
High school diploma/GED equivalent required
Previous experience with a strong work ethic that includes the ability to work 8-, 10-, or 12-hour shifts while sitting, standing, bending, twisting, and lifting
The flexibility to change shifts as the plant moves into future phases of production and operability
A positive, adaptable, hard-working, and patient mindset
A willingness to help with activities that may be outside of your job scope, especially as plant operations transition from the construction/set-up phase to the final “go-live” phase
It’s a Bonus if You Also:
Have previous experience in a Material Handler or Forklift Driver role
Have previous experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment
Have a natural ability to problem solve and continuously improve safety, quality, and productivit
