Job Description
- Req#: 6123
- To maintain adequate inventory levels of medical supplies and equipment in the storeroom and patient care areas.
- Inspects and checks incoming orders to verify type, quantities, and condition of products against bills of lading.
- Enters receipts into computer system updating inventory, acknowledging incoming purchase orders.
- Inventory, pick and deliver all supplies for the user departments according to pre-established par levels. Remove outdated supplies from storage areas and dispose.
- Confirms all pick sheets daily.
- Compares computer balances with periodic sampling checks of physical inventory by set cycle counting dates and makes adjustments in inventory balances accordingly.
- Routes incoming goods to correct departments. Maintain record keeping of all incoming and outgoing goods.
- Works with department head and buyers to coordinate requisitioning, ordering, distribution of supplies and equipment; controls ordering and requisitioning process to ensure inventory levels of supplies are in keeping with usage. Checks items to be shipped against work orders to ascertain that quantities destinations and routing are correct.
