      Job Description

      Pay range for this position is $27.30/hr - $28.35/hr. This is a mid-level position to work as a Material Handler. Applicants may be assigned any Material Handler Trade tasks, but will initially be assigned to operate equipment including (but not limited to): receive/issue material at Warehouses and Facilities, maintain accurate inventory, operate fork lifts, operate barcode scanners and operate hand tools (Banders, etc.)

      Required/Preferred Education/Training

      • Previous fork-lift experience required with the ability to demonstrate proficiency at time of interview.
      • High School Diploma or GED preferred.

      Required/Preferred Experience

      • Previous forklift experience with demonstrated proficiency required.
      • Basic computer skills and use of barcode scanners.
      • Must meet the requirements of the Material Handler physical task analysis, to include climbing stairs/ladders and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
      • Must have a valid driver’s license.
      • More than 1 year of warehousing experience preferred.
      • Previous BIW Material Handling experience or familiarity with BIW material Handling process preferred.
