Job Description
- Req#: R-10067
- Operate a forklift in a safe manner.
- Pull product from warehouse and place onto outbound loads.
- Consolidate warehouse locations as needed to maximize available space.
- Unload / Load trucks as needed.
- Utilize REX warehouse system to record part numbers, product quantities and serial numbers.
- Maintain accurate paperwork to support all scans performed in the REX system.
- Consistently meeting or exceeding daily productivity goals.
- Troubleshoot lift trucks to include: low oil, fuel and water.
- Conduct daily inspection and maintain the oil, battery and tires of forklifts.
- Follow and perform established housekeeping duties and procedures.
- Adhere to plant and department / job-specific safety rules and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by department supervisor
- Minimum of high school education/GED, plus at least one year of experience in a in a fast-paced manufacturing assembly environment is required. Previous material handling experience is desired.
- Forklift certification and previous experience is preferred.
- Basic mathematical skills are required.
- Good oral/written communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment is required.
- Safety oriented, as well as satisfactory work performance and attendance is required.
- A demonstrated willingness for continual learning and skill development is required.
- Ability to work overtime, off shifts, and weekends as needed is required.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 40 lbs. is required.
The primary focus of this position is safe movement of purchased materials throughout the Orangeburg facility to ensure that production goals are met.
