      Job Description

      Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. seeks a Material Handler II to support IT operations at a high standard.

      Responsibilities

      • Efficient and GMP-compliant handling of material flow.
      • Strict adherence to regulations for managing the storage area, including GMP rules, hygiene, safety regulations, and relevant SOPs and packaging instructions.
      • Receipt of goods and entry of incoming goods in the ERP (GPM).
      • Operation of the warehouse management system (WMS).
      • Accurate and fitting storage of materials.
      • Picking orders to supply production.
      • Handling production returns in the ERP/Enterprise Resource Planning (GPM) after job completion.
      • Storing materials after inspection by Quality Control (QC).
      • Assisting in commercial packaging, making entries in the ERP/Enterprise Resource Planning (SAP).
      • Conducting internally required pack material sampling.
      • Performing inventories.
      • Ensuring active, timely, and appropriate communication of progress and difficulties to colleagues and supervisors.
      • Actively participating in identifying, communicating, and solving problems and inefficiencies, as well as in improvement opportunities.
      • Co-responsibility in encouraging a culture of improvement within the department (PPI Business System).
      • Responsibility for timely project execution, as agreed with project groups and supervisors.

      Requirements

      • Proven experience in material handling and warehouse management systems.
      • Strong understanding of GMP regulations and ERP systems.
      • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
      • Ability to successfully implement improvements and ensure compliance with all relevant standards.
