- Receive and check-in products promptly from vendors and the CDC, working at heights of approximately 36 inches.
- Sort and handle parcels and materials to avoid damage.
- Inspect parcels and materials for defects or damages.
- Order raw materials via the internet and Microsoft Access.
- Handle dangerous goods safely.
- Count items with accuracy.
- Complete forms with neat handwriting and a legible signature.
- Transfer released products from quarantine to shippable bins.
- Stock and space products, reaching up to 105 inches high, using machinery if needed.
- Operate forklifts safely.
- Perform inventory duties.
- Deliver packages to appropriate employees.
- Work cooperatively with minimal supervision, communicating discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean work area.
- Arrive on time and work scheduled hours.
- Report safety hazards to supervisors or senior management.
- Complete training in Valuing Diversity and Inclusion through Thermo Fisher University.
- Acquire Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) Certification.
- Lift up to 25 pounds from floor to overhead using a step ladder as needed.
- Lift or maneuver up to 100 pounds in receiving and raw materials areas.
- Push and pull up to 100 pound-forces on pallet jacks, repeating approximately 15 times per day.
- Ability to walk and stand for up to 3 hours at a time, up to 10 hours a day, with various physical movements.
- Push or pull products on a cart with up to 45 pounds of force to push and 50 pounds to pull.
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
- Basic knowledge of English and math.
- Ability to navigate and understand basic computer programs.
- Basic inventory skills for product identification and counting.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
