MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Receive all supplies, materials, and equipment coming to the warehouse or storage areas. Mark and identify with Part No’s/Lost No’s per procedure and distribute or store received items in correct locations
• Account for all items received and maintain accurate records. Generate receiving reports as required
• Assure accuracy of received good by checking deliveries against original orders. Verify identification, quantities, and inspect material for physical damage accepting delivery. Immediately notify purchaser about problems
• Help load and unload trucks if required
• When equipment shipments arrive, unwrap/uncrate items, using tools such as pry bars and wire cutters
• When materials require QC inspection, collect and take samples to or notify Quality Control as required. Once approved by QC, move material to its designated area
• Receive and process customer returned items per procedure
• Move items into designed storage areas. Safely stack items using lift equipment
• Rotate stack as directed. Follow FIFO or other inventory management rules as directed
• Help maintain stock inventory and warehouse in a safe, clean, and orderly condition
• Participate in warehouse inventory activities. Conduct periodic/on-going inventory counts/audits as required
• Organize and maintain the receiving, warehouse and remote storage areas
• Receive packages, materials, and product by U.P.S., FedEX, US Postal Service, commercial carries, etc
• Assist with production, blending, filing packaging when needed
• Potential exists for exposure to potentially harmful chemicals.
• Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATION:
A. Required (i.e. knowledge, prior experience)
• Two years experience in receiving and processing materials for storage and in shipping product
• Knowledge of warehousing procedures, skilled in operating fork-lift equipment
B. Preferred Additional
CRITICAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
• Ability to maintain accurate records is required
• Ability to operate a variety of equipment such as fork lift, pallet jacks, rolling stock ladders, hand trucks, carts, etc. Perform operator’s maintenance on assigned equipment
• Ability to operate a computer and peripheral equipment. Correctly use bar code readers and printers as required
• Work independently with minimal directions. Recognize and ask for direction or help when needed
• Communicate with others clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing. Follow oral and written instructions
• Lift up to 50 lbs using correct/safe lifting techniques
EDUCATION AND/OR TRAINING
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic math skills and computer literacy required.About the company
