      Pay Range DOE: $18.00/hour

      Work Schedule: 6:00AM - 4:30PM, Monday - Thursday. This position should last for 2-3 months, but the position is temporary but could be eligible for permanent placement with the Client.

      This position is eligible for Paid Sick and Safe Time (PSST) under the Healthy Families and Workplaces Act. All employees may also make pre-tax or post-tax (Roth) contributions to our retirement plan – must be 18 years of age to participate.

      JOB SUMMARY:

      Goodwill Staffing is seeking an experienced material handler to work a temporary assignment for our medical manufacturer. This position is responsible for receiving, storing and issuing equipment, material, supplies, merchandise or tools and compiling stock records in stockroom, warehouse and/or storage yard.

      The position requires a minimum of six (6) months experience in material handling, warehouse, or related work.

      ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

      • Follows all employee guidelines as defined by client's practices and Goodwill, policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) to ensure that customer requirements and U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) (or equivalent) regulations are met.
      • Demonstrates knowledge and acts in accordance with client’s Employee Guidelines and applicable quality standards as outlined in client’s Quality Manual.
      • Moves or transports material or supplies to other departments.
      • Filing of job sheets and general reqs when required.
      • Receives parts into Stockroom. Counts, sorts, or weighs articles to verify receipt of items and stocks items.
      • Examines stock to verify conformance to specifications, special handling or storage.
      • Cycle counting.
      • Stores articles in bins, on floor or on shelves according to identifying information such as style, size or type of material.
      • Fills orders or issues supplies from stock including the pulling of job kits.
      • Prepares periodic, special or perpetual inventory of stock.
      • Reports on adjustments of inventory counts and stock records, spoilage of or damage to stock, location changes and refusal of shipments.
      • Investigates inventory discrepancies and resolves.
      • Maintains accurate inventory and other stock records to include Jobs Sheets, Inventory tags and maintaining records within the Visual system.
      • General stockroom duties as required.
      • Assists in the Receiving Area as required.
      • Abides by all safety and security rules set forth by the company and regulatory agencies.
      • Regular attendance is required.

      QUALIFICATIONS:

      Education:

      • A High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

      Experience:

      • A minimum of six (6) months experience in material handling, warehouse or related work.

      Other:

      • The ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and memos.
      • The ability to write short correspondence.
      • The ability to effectively present information in one-on-one (1:1) and small group situations to customers, clients and employees of the organization.
      • Basic Computer Skills.
      • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
      • The ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written and oral instructions.
      • The ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
      • This position requires the physical ability to:
        • Frequently remain in a stationary position for long periods of time.
        • Regularly use hands and fingers to make small movements and handle small parts/tools.
        • Frequently reach with hands and arms.
        • Frequently make repetitive movements.
        • Lift and move up to 20lbs frequently.
        • Occasionally move between buildings and offices (campus environment).
      • Some overtime may be required depending on project timeline.
