      Business Need / Purpose of Role:

      The Class 4 power engineer is responsible for operating autoclaves to ensure the efficient curing of the rubber products. Additionally, this role plays a crucial part in the timely and accurate movement, handling & staging of materials for the hose and rubber department.

      Key Responsibilities

      • Operate and monitor Autoclave for rubber curing process.
      • Complete and maintain autoclave records, logs and reports.
      • Loading, unloading and handling of material (Mechanical & Manually handling)
      • Assist in maintaining accurate inventory locations and enforce strict quarantines and material hold points as needed.
      • Assist in conducting frequent inventory counts and spot checks to maintain accurate inventory levels.
      • Cutting and measuring wood products for packaging using hand tools; saw, drill, air gun etc.
      • Understand daily production needs and provide material in a timely manner
      • As required, assist with receiving of inventory items into the computer database
      • Proactively identify and address inventory-related problems and monitor stock levels for certain items.

      Job Knowledge / Education and Qualifications

      Education/Experience:

      • Completion of High School diploma or equivalent.
      • Class 4 Power Engineer certification is required.
      • Previous experience in shipping/receiving within a manufacturing environment is required.
      • Experience in construction is considered an asset for this role.
