- Perform proper decoking techniques by following all associated procedures
- Working with the operator to un-head and re-head the coke drums
- Performing the final sweep of the coke drum.
- Operate bridge crane to maintain proper pit & pad storage and load coke.
- Maintain good and open communication with the crane operator, supervisors, managers, and maintenance personnel via radio and other proper means.
- Help maintenance personnel with equipment maintenance when additional manpower is needed.
- Properly inspect the equipment before and post operating.
- Report any maintenance needs and conduct frequent audits on the crane and other heavy equipment.
- Complete all necessary documentation as required
- Perform proper rail switching procedures and learn to operate locomotives to transport petroleum coke to staging areas.
- Learn other positions as time permits
- High school diploma/GED required
- Bridge Crane experience preferred
- Mechanically inclined and able to work independently
- Committed to safety and adherence to operational policies
- Must pass pre-employment screenings (physical, reference, drug, motor vehicle report, background check)
- Experience in the oil field or other industrial environment preferred
- Lift up to 50 lbs. frequently
- Handle large tools and climb on/off equipment
- Comfortable with heights and able to kneel or crawl
- Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
