      Position Role Type:

      The Material Program Manager (MPM) will be responsible for managing Supply Chain (SC) activities within the Space Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (S-ISR), which includes a large portfolio of programs. The MPM will serve as the liaison between Supply Chain and the Program Management Office (PMO). The MPM will create, guide, implement material program strategy (MPS) and the material program plan (MPP) to ensure program competiveness and performance from the front end of the business through contract closure. Key responsibilities include supplier management, material forecasting, cost/schedule/quality management, metrics, supplier assessments, sourcing strategies, negotiation of software licenses/terms and conditions, communication of customer flow through requirements, proposal activities and assisting with contract close out activities.

      The MPM will provide inputs as needed to the program Estimate at Complete (EAC) reviews including supply chain risk and opportunities. The MPM will use critical thinking skills to propose sound and creative business solutions to increase operational efficiencies to insure business area and program success. Must be a self-starter and someone that is flexible and is able to work in a self-guided manner at a high level of quality, quantity and collaboration.

      Below is a list of critical tasking that would be required to support program needs relative to this position:

      Develops and implements material program plans.

      Ensures that Risk and Opportunity plans are developed and implemented.

      Participates in program activities throughout the entire program lifecycle, from pre-proposal through contract closure.

      Support Program-level Estimates at Completion (EAC)

      Reviews the standard SC Metrics with the PMO

      Ability to lead or support negotiations (price, schedule and supplier exceptions to terms and conditions/software licenses)

      Forecasting program material sales and meeting commitments

      Monitor supply chain performance metrics and proactively act to address program and functional issues

      Collaborate with Supply Chain functions for support

      Vendor Management

      Required Skills:

      Must be a US Citizen

      Active TOP SECRET/SCI Clearance with CI Poly

      8 years related experience

      Working knowledge of supply chain and related systems, procurement, receiving, cost estimating, and finance.

      Excellent communication and presentation skills

      Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, Word, Power Point

      Desired Skills:

      Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills

      Material Program Manager (MPM) certification

      Working knowledge of PRISM (SAP)

      Thorough skill level in MS Excel (Pivot tables, VLookups, etc.)

      Familiarity with the Gate review process

      Ability to display good judgement and solve problems in the absence of an obvious clear path.

      Demonstrated commitment to high ethical standards regardless of the circumstance.

      Excellent interpersonal skills that allow for successful work in a diverse environment with numerous internal and external customers.

      Ability to communicate effectively both written and orally.

      Able to coordinate strategies and manage tactical implementation.

      Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience
