      Material Supply Planner

      Position Summary

      Catalent’s Greenville, N.C. facility specializes in end-to-end turn-key solutions for oral solid dosage forms, including integrated formulation development, analytical services, commercial manufacturing, and packaging. This state-of-the-art facility has had over $100M of investments in recent years and features fit-for-scale capacity with potent handling capabilities, ideal for orphan or targeted drug development.

      The Material Supply Planner is responsible for the forecasting and demand planning of all commercial materials. The Material Supply Planner will be Subject Matter Expert (SME) for material requirements across all departments and lead the organizational efforts around inventory management and readiness to execute production against the production plan.

      The Role

      • Coordinate material requirement planning and MRP calculations for the site.

      • Collaborate with relevant teams to oversee inventory and procurement activities.

      • Facilitate component planning meetings, inventory management meetings, ready-to-execute meetings, and other necessary meetings.

      • Collaborate with purchasing to ensure timely order and receipt of direct materials.

      • Coordinate release and/or retest of raw materials.

      • Communicate with relevant departments to ensure forecast, materials, and process orders are aligned with operational needs.

      • Create and maintain production process orders for a rolling 3-week period, incorporating all released materials to facilitate process orders.

      • Provide backup support for activities within Planning and Purchasing functions as needed.

      • All other duties as assigned.

      The Candidate

      • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain or related discipline with at least 1 year of related experience in a manufacturing environment; OR Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain or related discipline with at least 2 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment; OR High school diploma or equivalent with at least 4 years of experience in a Materials Planning role, Supply Chain role or equivalent role.

      • Proficiency in ERP (SAP preferred) software and Microsoft Office applications.

      • Experience in a pharmaceutical GMP environment or other similar regulated industry is preferred.

      • Requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.

      • Requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time.
