      Position Summary

      One of the region’s largest orthopedic and sports medicine providers, Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute’s world-class team of orthopedic surgeons and sports medicine physicians specialize in conditions and injuries of the spine, hand, upper extremities, foot, ankle and lower extremities, as well as joint replacement, concussions, interventional pain management, bone health and orthopedic trauma. The institute’s Downtown Complex brings the whole spectrum of orthopedic and spine care under one roof and includes an orthopedic specialty hospital featuring 75 private inpatient rooms, 10 advanced OR suites, and a research and innovation center with a bio skills lab and 3D printer. Institute physicians also lead a robust clinical research and education program. An adjacent medical pavilion houses a 63-exam-room outpatient clinic, imaging suite, physical therapy spaces and ambulatory surgery center.       Responsibilities

      • Observes Orlando Health policies and procedures to obtain, return, and exchange product.
      • Reports variances and fluctuations in par levels to Materials Manager and Service-line Specialist.
      • Implements change processes by engaging staff to help develop approaches toward transition.
      • Serves as a resource to Materials Management team and Service-line Specialists through proficient knowledge of abstracting data
        utilizing applicable software program.
      • Communicates with all levels of surgery team to resolve supply issues, special needs, re-establish par levels or reconcile product mix on shelves or specialty carts.
      • Serves as a liaison to Materials Management, CSC, vendors, and Service-line Specialists or Nursing Operations Manager to improve efficiencies and customer service.
      • Facilitates equivalent product substitutes with service-line Specialists, Nursing Operations Manager and Corporate Resource Analyst.
      • Responsible for updating and maintaining Material Management’s process for reconciliation of borrowed / loaned product between departments or facilities outside of site specific surgical supply department.
      • Ensures accuracy of Material management software by initiating request to add new supplies or correct data of existing supplies.
      • Receives product, verifies description and quantity ordered with packing slip.
      • Receives, opens boxed product, and restocks supplies promptly upon delivery.

      Qualifications

      Education/Training

      • Associate’s degree. Two (2) years of directly related work experience may substitute for the Associate’s degree (in addition to the requirements listed in the Experience section).

      Licensure/Certification

      • None

      Experience

      • Two (2) years of experience in an inventory environment. Familiar with automated materials management systems
