      POSITION SUMMARY

      As a key member of our Logistics team, you will be responsible for supervising our front-line Team Members with the objective of achieving immediate and short-term goals as outlined by the Reno Operations Manager. You will oversee inbound material storage/inventory controls, while ensuring all customer/outbound shipments are completed on time. You will maintain all process controls and inventory systems/controls.

      ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

      • This position will be responsible for leading the Reno Logistics team and coordinating with the North America Supply Chain team to ensure optimization of Warehouse capacity, Inbound Logistics, Outbound Logistics, Inventory, Material storage.
      • Liaising with NA Supply Chain team, suppliers, and buyers for optimized stock levels.
      • FIFO management of raw materials and using SAP inventory software for all inventory transactions. (Goods receiving, Goods Issuing, Material Transfers, Cycle counting, etc.)
      • Responsible for outbound customer shipments via numerous carriers. This includes collaborating with North American Outbound Logistics to tactically manage carrier relationships ensuring high On-time delivery performance.
      • Managing receipt of engineering and production shipments, maintain smooth flow of materials from receiving area
      • Responsible for waste management disposal (paper, plastic, and aluminum plate recycling) and chemical waste removal
      • Attaining shift production goals
      • Responsible for the organization and safety of warehouse inventory and racking system
      • Ensure Safe Working practices amongst the team, processes, and equipment
      • Ensuring the Logistics team meets safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives while maintaining high morale in the area.
      • Proactively identifying & driving daily continuous improvement opportunities.
      • Utilizing daily reporting/tracking results to detect, escalate, and root cause abnormalities in the flow (people, materials, and information)
      • Responsibility to ensure fiscal adherence to budgets whilst ensuring that materials, labor and equipment are used efficiently to supply Production with necessary materials on time.
      • Develop the Logistics team members skills and standardized operating patterns.
      • Ensure warehouse, assets and communication are used effectively.
      • Developing, Analyzing, and optimizing logistical procedures

      EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED

      • Minimum High School Diploma or Equivalent
      • Previous Leadership experience in a Manufacturing or Logistics department.
      • Previous experience of Production Planning, and ERP/MRP Systems.
      • Experience and proficient using SAP is preferred
      • Previous experience in warehouse and logistics operations with high level of visibility in a sizeable team
      • Strategical Goal Planning experience such as Hoshin, OKR, or similar Goal Deployment Methodology
      • Inventory, forklift driving, OSHA courses or training
      • Team player who is reliable, able to support and lead the logistics department
      • Good problem solving, organizational skills and decision-making ability
      • Strong dedication to team member morale, customer service, safety, quality and delivery
      • Prefer an ability to utilize a methodical approach to continuous Improvement using Kata/A3/Kaizen toolsets.
      • Prefer candidates with knowledge of Standardized Work, and Standardized Work Instructions via the ‘Training within Industry’ methodology.
      • Ability to multitask, work with little supervision and track multiple processes
      • Prefer an ability to lead and facilitate continuous improvement processes.

      PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

      • The ability to perform normal sitting and standing activities and lift to 50 lbs.
      • The ability to stand for long periods of time
      • The ability to actively listening and read comprehensive documents
      • Strong communication skills
