      Materials Co-Ordinator

      Shrewsbury Hospital | Procurement | Part Time

      Up to £ 24,500.00 pro rata depending on experience

      15 hours per week

      As a Materials Co-ordinator at our Shrewsbury Hospital, you’ll be a team player with good IT skills. You’re capable of working under pressure and you have a keen eye for detail. Previous experience in a supplies or stores environment is beneficial, but not essential. We can give you training if necessary.

      As a Materials Co-ordinator, you will:

      • To lead and co-ordinate work activities within the Materials department to ensure that all goods and services purchased meet hospital requirements.

      • To lead and co-ordinate in the purchasing, inventory management and issue of stock using the appropriate procedures and systems

      • To support the Materials manager in the daily running of the department during periods of absence and ensure all Materials managers core tasks are completed.

      • Ensures orderly distribution of products by pulling orders from inventory, delivering materials and supplies where needed.

      • Co-ordinate the orderly operation of stock and/or materials storage area.

      • Maintains inventory by identifying, labelling, and keeping materials and supplies in stock, recording location of inventory, and reporting shortages.

      • Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on departmental orders.

      • Maintains in-process inventory by receiving and opening materials/supplies and completing put away tasks.

      • To deputise for Materials manager in local, regional, and national meetings during periods of absence

      • To complete electronic and/or manual record keeping processes in an accurate and timely manner, to the agreed format and standard

      • Support other areas within the supply chain functions to ensure that materials are controlled effectively

      • To handle all enquires efficiently and effectively, escalating where necessary

      • To ensure all data/information is entered, modified, maintained, and reported accurately and efficiently using the appropriate electronic or manual processes, systems, and formats.
