- Req#: req14856
- Drive University stake bed trucks to campus to pick up surplus equipment/supplies. Requires heavy lifting, pulling, and pushing (up to 50 pounds). Using material handling tools like appliance dolly, pallet jack and forklift to name a few.
- Sort through surplus items and organize them for monthly auctions. This includes lotting, scanning the items to create auction brochure.
- Provide excellent customer service to campus and general public visiting the surplus storefront.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment. Includes warehouse docks and vehicles.
- Ability to lift/move/pull/push up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to use tools including, but not limited to: appliance dolly, pallet jack and forklift
- High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent learning attained through experience required
- Prior work experience not required
- Ability to drive according to the University Fleet Safety Policy .

This position will also be responsible for organizing the surplus items and preparing them for sale at monthly auctions. They will also provide customer service to campus departments and the general public in the Surplus Storefront. They will work closely within a team environment to accomplish daily tasks.
