      Fenner Dunlop is looking for a Material Handler to join our Lavonia manufacturing team!

For over 150 years, Fenner Dunlop has researched, designed, developed, manufactured, and tested its conveyor belting products, supporting nearly any type of conveyor application, and providing the right solutions to protect conveyor system investments in the harshest conveying environments.

      Job Purpose

      • The primary responsibility of this position is to operate a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and provide the proper materials to the various departments through out the facility.

      Primary Duties

      • Responsible for the safe operation of various sizes of forklifts and cranes used to transport material both incoming and out going.
      • Unload inbound shipments safely and move products to storage locations. Efficiently stack and store materials in the appropriate area.
      • Load outbound shipments with the proper materials per the packing list. Inspect load prior to release for transportation.
      • Move materials from staging and/or storage areas using forklift/pallet jack to supply departments with needed materials.
      • Complete shift inspection sheets on all utilized forklifts and cranes to ensure mechanical safety.
      • Report any misuse or damage to forklifts, products, or facility to Production Supervisor.
      • Complete required Epicor entries and shipping paperwork.
      • Monitor all dumpsters in the area and empty as needed.
      • Doff rolls of cloth using overhead crane.
      • Separate used card board and wooden pallets and properly dispose.
      • Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with 5S procedure, rules, and regulations. Stage works area for the organization of proper materials needed during the shift.
      • Use proper waste handling procedures so that at the end of the shift supplies are accurately in order for the following shift.
      • Maintain a good attendance record and adhere to the Attendance Policy. Adhere to Company Handbook, policies, and procedures.
      • Perform any other task deemed necessary.

      Secondary Duties

      • Follow all operating and safety procedures at all times.
      • Alert Management of any unsafe condition such as chemical spill and/or airborne contaminates.
      • Assist other members as needed. Assist in training other team members.

      Scope of Responsibility

      • Responsible for loading and unloading trucks, and suppling materials internally for equipment used to produce woven fabric in excess of 900,000 feet of fabric per month, employing 130+ employees in a non-union environment, with approximately $3.8 million in sales per month.

      Required Education and Experience

      • Minimum High School diploma or equivalent
      • Previous Forklift and/or Crane experience in a manufacturing environment
