      Position Summary

      Perform routine manual and clerical duties in materials area such as receiving, stocking, storing, issuing, and/or shipping materials, parts, supplies, and/or equipment. Transport materials between departments for assembly or other forms of processing to support production operations in a team-based, fast paced environment.

      Essential Job Responsibilities

      • Strong attention to detail, and safety focused.
      • Receive and check in raw materials, purchased stock, finished items, equipment, supplies, and returned goods.
      • Prepare finished goods for shipping according to specific guidelines established by customer and identify finished product by attaching shipping labels.
      • Check goods against receiving/shipping documents and authorizations for nomenclature, identification and quantity.
      • Load and/or unload carriers in a safe and proper manner.
      • Stack and palletize materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods. Maintain stock in orderly arrangements.
      • Transport materials manually or with automated equipment from receiving area/production lines to staging areas/required locations.
      • Complete inventory documentation accurately and neatly, verify inventory discrepancies, operate a computer to input and/or verify inventory records, and operate hand held scanners.
      • Visually inspect goods for damage from handling.
      • Perform inventory counts on parts and/or finished goods.
      • Perform customer-specific operations for shipments going directly to the customer, this includes scanning labels and downloading scanner data to the computer.
      • Place parts for scheduled production runs in assembly line-side storage areas and perform required inventory control system transactions.
      • Transfer finished goods from production lines/finished goods area to warehouse locations; complete all transactions of returning parts.
      • Return empty totes, baskets, and carts to line of origin.
      • Count and package parts to be shipped to outside vendors.
      • Remove corrugated cardboard bales from baler conveyor, weigh bales on warehouse scales, record weights on check sheet, and load bales onto trailer.
      • Weigh all recycling, complete recycling log sheets and load recycling on designated recycling trailers.
      • Follow JSOX, DOT, HazMat, CTPAT, FTZ, RCRA, and other guidelines.
      • Follow Company policies and procedures.
      • Complete Safety, Quality, Environmental, and other required trainings.
      • Operate material handling equipment including powered industrial trucks, small hand tools, pallet handlers, and hand trucks in a safe, and proper manner.
      • Maintain tools, equipment and work area in a clean and orderly manner in accordance to 5-S.
      • Participate in the continual improvement of Materials and Production Control & Logistics processes.
      • Support and assist the team and leadership as needed.
      • Operate Company box truck; maintain valid DOT medical examiner’s card, if applicable per location.
      • Work weekends, holidays, and/or extended hours to satisfy customer requirements as needed.
      • Alert leadership to any and all issues, or unsafe working conditions immediately.

      Qualifications and Education Requirements

      • High School Diploma or equivalent.
      • Computer literate, emphasizing experience with Microsoft Office, inventory management system (such as JDE) and Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) systems, preferred.
      • Verbal, written and cross-cultural communication skills, emphasizing interpersonal and customer relations skills.
      • Ability to travel independently to customer or other MEAA locations, as needed.
      • Previous warehousing experience including material handling equipment including forklift, scissors lift, etc.) and dock safety equipment such as dock levelers, dock restraint systems, and vehicle securement, preferred.
      • Ability to work in extreme hot/cold/humid conditions and elevated levels for extended periods of time.
