      Job Description

      The Materials Management Associate is responsible for overseeing daily inventory operations, including stock management, receiving and processing deliveries, and ensuring the accurate and efficient distribution of materials. This role plays a key part in maintaining optimal supply levels, adhering to safety protocols, and upholding quality standards across departments.

      Key Responsibilities

      Inventory Management

      • Conduct routine inventory audits and identify low-stock items for timely replenishment.

      • Track inventory levels and usage trends to forecast future demand accurately.

      • Perform cycle counts and participate in quarterly inventory audits.

      • Maintain precise inventory records within the system.

      • Collaborate with departments to identify and fulfill specific inventory needs.

      • Process departmental and clinic supply requests, fulfill orders, and coordinate distribution.

      • Adjust item quantities and inventory flow based on consumption patterns.

      Receiving and Processing

      • Receive and inspect incoming materials against purchase orders for accuracy.

      • Unload deliveries, break down pallets, and organize supplies on designated shelving.

      • Accurately enter received goods into the ERP system.

      • Identify and report shipping discrepancies, and coordinate resolutions.

      • Ensure all received materials meet established quality and safety standards.

      Material Handling and Storage

      • Perform all material handling and warehouse tasks in a safe and efficient manner.

      • Label, organize, and store materials systematically.

      • Rotate inventory to ensure product freshness and shelf life.

      • Remove expired items and update inventory records accordingly.

      • Operate material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts) as required.

      Additional Duties

      • Attend and complete all mandatory training sessions as assigned.

      • Adhere to organizational safety protocols and operational guidelines.

      • Provide coverage to other sites as needed.

      Required Skills and Qualifications

      • High School Diploma or GED REQUIRED

      • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

      • Keen attention to detail with a focus on accuracy.

      • Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments.

      • Proficiency in inventory management software or ERP systems.

      • Experience operating material handling equipment.

      • Clear and effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

      This is a non-exempt position. The base compensation range for this role is $16.00 to $18.00. At VillageMD, compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, location, etc. The selected candidate will be eligible for a valuable company benefits plan, including health insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, and access to a 401k plan.
