JOB SUMMARY

Under supervision of the department leadership follows established policies, procedures, and guidelines is responsible for the efficient movement of specialty materials required to meet the demands of the Surgical Services. This includes, ordering/receiving and putaways for specialty items, implants, maintenance of specialty supply carts and c-lockers. Reviewing and maintaining appropriate PAR levels of inventory in sufficient quantities for availability on demand. Handling of recalls, returns, urgent supply needs, and collaborating closely with Clinicians to match supplies to scheduled cases. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with mission, vision and values of Tampa General Hospital.

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. and 3 years in Materials Management.
• At least 1 year managing specialty supplies within an Operating Room or Procedural setting.
• An associate degree or higher, or clinical experience in a procedural setting can substitute for experience in Materials Management.
