      BAT MEXICO IS LOOKING FOR A MATERIALS PLANNER

      SENIORITY LEVEL: Non manager

      FUNCTION: Supply Chain

      LOCATION: Monterrey

      ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES

      This role is part of the operations department and it is responsible for ensuring the raw material requirements of the factories are met with no interruption to supply continuity.

      To work closely with internal and external stakeholders raising and expediting material orders to mitigate potential issues and avoid any production disruption.

      Reports to: Planning Liaison Manager

      Reporting Level: Managerial

      Geographic Scope: Latam North

      WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR

      • Place purchase orders for materials in line with supplier lead times to meet the multiple requirements of the factory production plan in SAP and the rapid response system.
      • Ensure that the material coverage period is sufficient, while maintaining target inventory levels and optimal supplier pricing.
      • Maintain target stock levels within the factory.
      • Execute all cost reduction activities initiated by procurement, factory, etc.
      • Arrange the delivery of materials with the supplier to the factory and, when necessary, resolve any logistics issues.
      • Enter master data in SAP and rapid response system for new materials.
      • Explore opportunities to improve the efficiency of planning and ordering materials.
      • Work with the production planning team when a material shortage is identified to ensure the issue is resolved quickly with minimal impact to the factory.

      ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

      • At least 1 year in direct raw material planning experience.
      • Excellent analytical and planning skills.
      • Good English proficiency (at least 80%).
      • High knowledge in Excel.
      • Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
      • To work unsupervised and under pressure.
      • Good organizational and prioritization skills
      • Knowledge in Rapid Response (Preferably)
      • BS in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or any equivalent qualifications.

      BENEFICIAL
