      Divergent has invented a complete manufacturing solution to address system level challenges. The Divergent Adaptive Production System (DAPS) is a complete software hardware solution designed to replace traditional vehicle manufacturing. To make the complex simple, it is a complete modular digital factory for complex structures. Given a set of digital requirements as input, the machine automatically computationally engineers, additively manufactures, and assembles any complex structure. The system is able to move seamlessly between manufacturing different vehicle models.


      Purpose of Job:


      Learn about different tests that are performed at Divergent’s mechanical testing lab and assist in improving efficiency, accuracy, and reliability of our test results. Will also assist in lab and development activities as needed.



      Essential Job Functions and Performance Standards:


      Interface with software team to improve the flow of test information into various databases


      Guide the software team to make improvements to data visualization and reporting


      Perform time studies and analyze data from a high volume of tests to make improvements to testing and procedures


      Conduct tensile tests according to various standards including ASTM E8


      Conduct fatigue tests according to various standards


      Support engineers with test set-up


      Maintain and continuously improve shop organization

      Requirements:



      Education:


      High school degree, GED or higher degree. BSc. or BEng. (BS) in Material Science, Metallurgy, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering In progress.



      Experience/Skills:


      Hard working


      Detail oriented


      Highly self-motivated and able to prioritize and execute tasks in a fast paced, start-up environment.


      Solid interpersonal skills – ability to successfully interface with engineering and software groups


      Firm knowledge in MS-Office applications


      Excel VBA, Python, MATLAB, Minitab


      Labview


      Practical electronics knowledge




      Physical Demands:


      Able to work on-site.


      Able to climb up and down the staircase.


      Able to lift and carry 30+ lbs.
