      Job summary

      The Caversham Group Practice would like to appoint a Fixed Term - Maternity Cover Salaried General Practitioner to complement our current GP Team. Post holder will provide the full range of NHS Primary Medical Services to the patients registered at the Caversham Group practice, temporary residents and patients presenting for immediately necessary treatment including clinical examination, diagnosis, treatment and referrals as appropriate.

      Job type: 5 clinical sessions and 0.5 admin sessions per week

      Expected end date: May 2026

      Main duties of the job

      • Work in an expanding practice team working within the NHS.
      • We are seeking enthusiastic General Practitioners on a salaried GP basis to work within established teams for 5 clinical sessions and 0.5 admin sessions per week.
      • The environments are busy and hands-on. Colleagues must be capable of rising to the challenge of working in new ways and have the ability to practice autonomously when needed.

      • In the performance of the duties outlined in this Job Description, the post-holder may have access to confidential information relating to patients and their carers, Practice staff and other healthcare workers. They may also have access to information relating to the Practice as a business organisation. All such information from any source is to be regarded as strictly confidential

      • Using appropriate infection control procedures, maintaining work areas in a tidy and safe way and free from hazards
      • Reporting potential risks identified
