LDP members must learn our business, grow their network, and solve complex problems
Collaborate across teams to better understand the construction industry and Clark’s capabilities in order to pursue growth opportunities
Identify, analyze, and recommend solutions for high-priority strategy projects
Work with the strategy and senior leadership teams to plan the implementation of those solutions
While in the Strategy, Research & Development (SR&D) group, you will:
Manage key innovation projects from concept through launch. Create and implement transition plans for deployed projects. Lead cross-functional teams
Gather data to identify opportunities for business process and operational improvement and collaborate with senior leadership on special projects that boost competitive advantage
Participate in Clark’s Strategic Investment Committee and act as the SR&D lead for a subcommittee
Potential Rotations:
Each role will have its own responsibilities and requirements. Overall, these will be high-impact opportunities in which you can drive results for the business domain.
Rotations may include the following business domains: Project Planning, Project Delivery, Client Services, Design Management, Finance, Business Development, HR, IT, Carta, CODA, S2N, Align, Altura, Edgemoor, or Clark Facility Solutions.
Currently enrolled in a competitive MBA program, with a strong academic track record
Passionate about architecture, engineering, real estate, or related business areas, but professional experience in these areas is not required
Entrepreneurial spirit, solid team player, and intellectually curious
Self-motivated with the ability to independently manage work priorities in a fast-paced environment
Strong analytical skills with the ability to think critically and creatively
Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive toward results
Exceptional communication skills and comfort presenting to C-suite audiences
The MBA Leadership Development Program (LDP) for designed for strategic and creative thinkers from a variety of professional backgrounds to find solutions to challenges facing the construction industry. In this role, you will develop your management skills, take ownership of high-value projects, and be positioned to lead Clark into the future.How You Will Grow
During participants’ time in the LDP, they will chart their own path through a variety of business units. This program has been designed for you to bring your experience to bear on problems facing the construction industry, foster your professional growth, and position you to help lead Clark into the future. The LDP provides opportunities to align your interests and experience with business needs. In the process, you will collaborate with C-suite leadership and colleagues to gain exposure to the core construction business, explore different facets of the company, and build critical relationships. Alumni of the Leadership Development Program continue to head projects in the field, launch new divisions within Clark, and take on leadership roles across Clark’s subsidiaries and business units.
The Impact You Will Make
Our LDP is a pipeline of leaders who will help expand existing functions, new business lines, and new products. In order to develop well-rounded, versatile leaders, the program emphasizes multi-disciplinary training and exposure to the company’s core business areas. A key experience that all program participants share is a rotation in our high-impact Strategy, Research & Development (SR&D) team as a Strategic Projects Manager . The team develops and implements innovative solutions to some of the industry’s most complex problems, such as an increasingly diminishing labor market, lagging productivity, and market dynamics, cementing Clark’s competitive advantage.
