      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Assist the Program Coordinator in coordinating and facilitating workshops, seminars, and summer research symposiums
      - Collect, review, and provide feedback on assignments for Scholars in the Social Sciences and Humanities disciplines
      - Research professional development opportunities for Scholars, including finding research mentors and applying for graduate funding
      - Serve as a one-on-one mentor for Scholars, fostering their academic and professional growth
      - Maintain student records for the McNair Annual Performance Report to the US Department of Education

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Enrollment in a graduate program (Master's, PhD, etc.) at the employer
      - Strong intercultural communication skills, including written and verbal communication
      - Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently
      - Commitment to mentoring low-income, first-generation college, and underrepresented students
      - Preference for McNair alumni and those who can commit to two years of service

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Experience working with first-generation college students or underrepresented groups
      - Familiarity with graduate funding application processes
      - Previous involvement in academic support or mentoring programs
      - Strong organizational and time management skills
      - Passion for promoting diversity and inclusion in higher education
