      Meat Prep Operator

      Pay: Starting at $26.07/HR

      What do we Manufacture?

      • Pedigree, Cesar, Nutro, Royal Canin, Iams, Whiskas, Sheba pet food and Greenies and temptations treats.

      What is the Required Shift?

      Monday- Friday: 7am- 3:30pm

      (Flexible pending business needs)

      Job Purpose:

      The Meat Prep Operator is responsible for supplying frozen meat to the factory via forklift in a timely manner while following safety protocols and production needs.

      What are we looking for?

      Minimum Requirement:

      • High School diploma or GED
      • Mechanical aptitude

      Physical Requirements:

      • Frequent lifting/carrying (10-50 lbs.) and frequent pushing/pulling (50-200 lbs.).
      • Must be able to adapt to temperature and environmental extremes such as hot, cold, wet, dust, dirt and chemicals.
      • Frequent handling/gripping/bending/stooping
      • Ability to stand and / or work on feet for extended periods
      • Ability to read, write and understand English

      Preferred Qualifications:

      • Forklift experience
      • 1+ years of manufacturing experience
      • Computer / IPad literate
      • RF Scanner/Blue Yonder/JDA experience

      What will be my Responsibilities?

      • Comply with Mars Petcare Quality and Food Safety Practices, GMPs, and other Food Safety and Regulatory Standards to ensure we manufacture a quality product.
      • This area consists of the Haarslev, meat screws, grinders, and bunkers.
      • Changing the grinder blades/hole plates, as necessary.
      • Process meat based on the recipe needs using the order screen for normal production and changeovers.
      • Operate and drive forklifts to transfer meat.
      • Assist in system start-up and shutdown activities
      • Effectively communicate with peers, lead, area coordinator, and manager.
      • Preform CIL’s and document abnormalities
      • Any ad hoc requests
