Job Description

- Independent work in accordance with applicable SOPs, GxP guidelines, and compliance with applicable safety regulations.
- Responsibility for all his technical and administrative activities and functions; especially for timely setups, maintenance/calibrations, and repairs of machines and equipment.
- Continuous monitoring of the condition of machines, facilities, and tools.
- Research for possible improvements of the machine park and its handling.
- Support of the entire Facilities & Engineering Department.
- Conducting training and education of employees as needed.
- Timely provision of reports and other information.
- Close cooperation with all involved persons, groups, and departments with the aim of continuously increasing the satisfaction of the various departments.
- Handling action items that fall within the scope of activities.
- Ordering spare parts.
- Timely processing of maintenance orders in the maintenance software.
- Willingness to pursue further education if needed.
Comprehensive completed technical education.
Knowledge and understanding of technical systems as well as corresponding SOPs within the area of work.
Knowledge in the production of pharmaceutical packaging for clinical trial samples.
Very good German language skills, both spoken and written.
Good English language skills, both spoken and written.
Ability to understand technical details and fix issues.
Confident handling of various computer systems and software.
User knowledge of MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Summary of Position:
The mechanic is considered a point of contact for other departments regarding production equipment due to his expertise and supports them with their concerns. He works according to the applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), GxP guidelines, and relevant occupational safety regulations. He develops improvement proposals and always communicates proactively and solution-oriented.
The mechanic is responsible for timely changeover/setup of machines as well as technical support of operations during order execution. He is responsible for ensuring that machines are maintained, calibrated, and repaired on time.
