  Mechanic

  Job Description

  As a mechanic, you will be responsible for all mechanical maintenance within the plant. Your duties will include maintaining, repairing, and replacing bearings, pumps, and piping, working with hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and overseeing the mechanical installation of new machinery. You will also complete preventive maintenance on machinery, read blueprints, and perform welding as needed. The machinery you will work with includes roller mills, conveyors, furnaces, blenders, mixing equipment, and cylinders.

  Responsibilities

  • Maintain, repair, and replace bearings, pumps, and piping.
  • Work with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Oversee mechanical installation of new machinery.
  • Complete preventive maintenance on machinery.
  • Read blueprints.
  • Perform welding as needed.

  Essential Skills

  • At least 6 years of industrial maintenance experience.
  • Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics.
  • Mechanical troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Possession of necessary tools.

  Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience working on a 2 on, 2 off, 3 on, 3 off schedule.
  • All overtime is voluntary.

  Work Environment

  The company operates in multiple industries including automotive, wind turbines, locomotive, military, and space. Shifts include a 2 on, 2 off, 3 on, 3 off schedule with voluntary overtime. Pay rates are $33.06 plus shift differentials: $0.25 for all 12-hour shifts, an additional $1.25/hr for hours worked from 2 pm-10 pm, and $1.50 for hours worked between 10 pm-6 am.

  This is a Permanent position based out of Fostoria, Ohio.

  Pay and Benefits

  The pay range for this position is $69284.80 - $72404.80
