- Perform routine tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid level checks
- Clean and organize tools, parts, and work areas
- Learn to use diagnostic tools, hand tools, and repair equipment safely and correctly
- Follow all safety protocols and shop procedures
- Keep detailed records of services and repairs performed
- Attend training sessions and workshops to develop technical skills
- Enrollment in or recent completion of a technical school program in automotive or mechanical repair (a plus)
- Strong interest in mechanical systems and hands-on work
- Basic knowledge of vehicle components and maintenance procedures
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Willingness to learn and take on increasing responsibilities
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects and work in a physically demanding environment
- Current Virginia Commercial Driver’s License Class B with P endorsement (preferred) or Virginia CDL Learner’s Permit
- Strong work ethic and eagerness to learn
- Good problem-solving skills

- Communication and interpersonal skills
- On-the-job training and mentoring by experienced professionals
- Potential advancement to positions such as Mechanic, Technician, or Maintenance Supervisor
- Position involves a combination of indoor and outdoor working conditions and exposure to safe levels of diesel and cleaning solvent fumes and lubricating oils and grease.
- Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs
- Requires frequent bending and kneeling, with occasional climbing.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Mechanic Trainee to assist in the maintenance and repair of vehicles or mechanical equipment under the supervision of experienced mechanics. This is an entry-level position ideal for individuals pursuing a career in automotive, diesel, CNG or equipment maintenance and repair.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist senior mechanics with vehicle or equipment diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED (preferred)
