Job Description
- Req#: 25743
- High school graduate or General Education Development (GED) equivalent and ability to provide a transcript.
- Education must include one year of high school algebra with a minimum grade of C’ or an equivalent post high school placement test or course.
- Willingness to make a commitment of four years to obtain the necessary 8000 hours of OJT and vocational training necessary to complete the millwright program.
- Must NOT have been put corrective action within the last 6 months.
- Ability to attend evening classes in relation to the Millwright Apprenticeship Program
- Must be willing to work any shift
- Familiarity of the basic functions of a CMMS system preferred
- Strong written and communication skills required
- Ability to work extended hours and rotating shift as required
- Ability to work at heights, in hot, noisy & dirty environments required
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. required
- Proven ability to be a self-motivated and a self-starter required
- Microsoft Office suite preferred
- Actively participate in maintaining a safe work environment through site safety processes and systems.
- Ability to understand, learn, apply precision maintenance practices and values proactive maintenance activities.
- Execute work order assignments as structured under supervision of journeyman millwright and complete work management cycle with detailed SAP confirmations.
- Ability to respond to equipment defects and upset conditions as required.
- Learn and understands who their internal customers are, and the value service supplied from the maintenance department.
- Actively audit for issues throughout the mill while conducting assigned maintenance activities.
- Use previous experiences to challenge current state to create a better future.
- Supports and promotes the ARAUCO Asset Reliability Process (ARP)
