In the first year of our three-year Apprenticeship program, youu2019ll be learning in a state-of-the-art training environment at Forth Valley College. In years two and three you will be on site in various locations across the UK gaining the necessary skills in the workplace to develop and become a fully qualified mechanical technician in the Power Generation Industry.u00A0u00A0

On site as a Mechanical Apprentice, under direct supervision, you will safely accomplish the installation, maintenance and repair of the heavy rotating machinery used mainly in power generation applications. You will receive direction onsite from Lead or Sr. Turbine Mechanics and work closely with FieldCoreu2019s Skilled Craft Labor Supervisors, EHS personnel, and the Operations Department to achieve your goals.u00A0

You will gain an NC Mechanical Engineering PE02 (Performing Engineering Operations) and SVQ Level 3 Mechanical Engineering (Work-based qualification). This combination of qualifications and training on site could lead to a qualified technician role within Fieldcore on successful completion of your apprenticeship.u00A0
