      Job Title: Mechanical Assembler

      Job Description

      Join our team as a Mechanical Assembler, where you will have the opportunity to work in one of three distinct assembly departments. We are looking to fill three openings, one in each department, with varying shift schedules. Our 1st shift operates from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday, and we have two positions available. The 2nd shift operates from 2:30 PM to 1:00 AM, Monday through Thursday, and offers a 15% shift differential with one position available.

      Responsibilities

      • Utilize attention to detail to operate the epoxy machine in magnet assembly, requiring experience with blueprints and offsets.
      • Perform soldering tasks with proficiency in blueprint reading.
      • Assemble medical components using hand tools, calipers, and micrometers.
      • Work with brakes and clutches utilized in medical companies, farm equipment, and US government applications, including surgical robots and hospital beds.
      • Use hand and power tools effectively for assembly operations.

      Essential Skills

      • Mechanical assembly experience with hand and power tools.
      • Proficiency in electronic and electrical assembly.
      • Soldering assembly skills.
      • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
      • Mechanical aptitude and inclination, suitable for hobby auto mechanics and medical assemblers seeking a new career path.

      Additional Skills & Qualifications

      • 1 year of mechanical or electro-mechanical assembly experience.
      • 6+ months of experience with measuring tools.
      • Ability to work independently while maintaining focus on tasks.

      Work Environment

      This role is set in a climate-controlled, clean manufacturing environment featuring bench assembly for mechanical brakes, gear motors, and drives. As a leader in automation technology, we maintain a low volume, high product mix environment, requiring meticulous attention to detail due to the custom nature of our products with potentially 300-400 variations. The workspace is clean, well-conditioned, and spacious, with departments neatly organized. Employees will remain clean throughout their shift, wearing gloves to prevent oils and adhesives from contacting their hands.

      Pay and Benefits

      The pay range for this position is $20.70 - $25.00/hr.
