      Product Design Engineer responsible for the mechanical design and release of Electric Motors for Automotive Steering applications. Following design guidelines of Bosch AS and creating new designs as needed to meet customer requirements. Support design reviews and releases as needed.

      • You are part of the development team for electric motors and mechatronic interfaces.
      • You are responsible for the construction of electric motors and their interfaces, including the definition and coordination of the technical requirements.
      • When developing electric motors in cooperation with external suppliers and in an international project environment, you will be responsible, among other things, for creating drawings, technical coordination and problem solving. In this environment, you carry out the necessary calculations, simulations and tolerance calculations and work actively on design and process FMEA.
      • As part of the development of EPS projects, you are the central contact for technical questions about the Electric motor and responsible for the coordination of development tasks/approval tests and the constructive design.
      • You act independently and with great commitment in the international development network and use the worldwide network for your projects.
      • Completed degree in Mechanical engineering, Mechatronics, or a comparable subject.
      • 1-3 years of previous experience as mechanical designer (experience with automotive product development cycle and GD&T Knowledge).
      • Personality and way of working: resilient, able to work in a team, independent, analytical, forward-thinking, structured, goal-oriented, self-motivated. Enthusiasm for working in international teams and working independently on tasks and projects. Flexibility and willingness to travel (Local and international).
      • Experience and know-how: several years of experience in the development and construction of electric motors and/or mechatronic components. In-depth knowledge of handling CAD (Creo, PDM-Link or comparable systems).

      Skill Set

      • Mechanical design involving concept generation, CAD modeling, drawing creation and releases as per Bosch development process guideline.
      • Knowledge on Motor control design is a plus.
      • Good knowledge in PMSM & BLDC motors.
      • Develop technical designs with CAD (2D & 3D).
      • Estimate tolerances, capable to create, interpret, apply, and check GD&T. Create BOM (Bill of materials).
      • Manage engineering changes using tools such as DRBFM and DFMEA.
      • Develop/maintain/release drawings/specifications using BOSCH tools and processes.
      • Should have strong analytical, communication and logical skills
      • Hold design review meetings with suppliers to clarify all technical aspects regarding Electric motors.
