- Develop solid models, design detailing, drawings, and Bills of Materials for assigned components.
- Perform or coordinate model analysis to verify designs meet customer requirements.
- Perform drawing checks for completeness, correctness, and drafting standard compliance.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports.
- Research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, and manuals to evaluate feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications.
- Specify system components or direct modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications.
- Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation and make recommendations to the maintenance crew.
- Present design work in design reviews.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling, with SOLIDWORKS preferred.
- Use of Product Data Management (PDM) and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software.
- Solid working knowledge of mechanical engineering principles.
- Ability to convert models into detailed CAD designs.
- Experience in either Aerospace or Automotive sectors, with Aerospace preferred.
- Leadership, coaching, and mentoring abilities.
- Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines while working independently and as part of a team.
- Problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
- Moderate level of expertise in designing mechanical components and systems.
- Ability to pass Controlled Goods Certifications.
- Experience with Aircraft Modifications.
- Experience with either Inventor or Catia.

As a Mechanical Designer, you will be responsible for developing solid models, design detailing, drawings, and Bills of Materials for assigned components. You will perform or coordinate model analysis to ensure designs meet customer requirements and perform drawing checks for completeness, correctness, and drafting standard compliance. You will also read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports, as well as research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, and manuals to evaluate feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications. Additionally, you will specify system components or direct modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications, investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation, and present design work in design reviews.

Work Environment
You will be based full-time at the Mississauga facility, working five days a week in a well-equipped environment that includes both dedicated office space and access to an on-site hangar. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team of approximately 30 engineers, offering a collaborative and technically rich setting where knowledge sharing and cross-functional problem-solving are part of the daily rhythm. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
