Description:

This Mechanical Designer will need to demonstrate strong technical skills in designing complex HVAC systems and components with limited guidance. Knowledge of current California energy codes, mechanical codes, and T24 specification requirements.

Success is measured in the ability to complete projects on time or early and assist in the development of teammates.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Personable and able to be client-facing; looking for someone to fit in their culture, not just do the work.

Communication must be clear and effective.

Self-sufficient/able to work with basic direction

Designer duties include, but are not limited to:

• Design various HVAC systems

• Calculate heating & cooling loads using computer software

• Sizing pipes, ductwork, and equipment such as pumps, fans, boilers, chillers, terminal units, etc.

• Specifying HVAC materials and equipment

• Laying out ductwork and piping systems in AutoCAD/Revit

• Organize and execute HVAC drawings

• Perform field investigations and write technical reports

• Coordinate with other disciplines on projects
