Job Description:
Opening for a Senior Principal Mechanical Engineer or a Staff Mechanical Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our South Bay Vehicle Engineering organization. This role will be located in either Redondo Beach or El Segundo, California.
• Provide technical oversight and technical support to other disciplines as required.
• Responsible for cost and schedule associated to SOW.
• Lead internal program, customer and/or supplier technical exchange meetings and/or formal program milestone reviews to provide and/or obtain progress status updates.
• Interface with relevant stakeholders, including cross-functional teams, customers, and suppliers, to ensure robust and maintainable configurations are produced.
• Consults on design and integration of composite materials and their applications
• Leverages advanced knowledge of aircraft structure concepts including best practices for material selection of materials and metallic/composites trade analyses
• Perform design related tasks utilizing the NX, Fibersim and Teamcenter tool suite.About the company
