Job Description
- Req#: 179660
- Organize, participate, and lead in the conceptualization, modeling, analysis, development, documentation, and test/validation of hardware associated with new semiconductor equipment
- Develop and present reports/presentations that communicate design intent, analysis, and validation at executive-level meetings
- Directly support personnel in the preparation of detailed design, design testing and prototype fabrication
- Analyze designs developed – may need to perform structural analysis (FEA), thermal analysis and fluid flow analysis
- Conduct feasibility studies – including generation of well documented test plans
- Perform Failure Modes and Effects Analysis
- Provide design information to drafting for packaging documentation
- Communicate among diverse teams (process engineers, technicians, software/controls, suppliers, etc.)
- Work with potential suppliers to ensure parts can be manufactured in accordance with performance and cost objectives
- Provide work leadership and training to junior and new engineers
- Minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 3 years’ experience; or equivalent experience
- Extremely knowledgeable using 3D CAD tools; knowledge of ProE and NX
- Strong hands-on experimental and design background coupled with solid engineering skills
- Succinct presentation skills; present progress on large cross-functional initiatives at executive-level meetings
- Strong skills and experiences in problem solving, time and priority management, communication, and project management
- Strong design background coupled with solid engineering skills
- Semiconductor industry experience is not required, but a plus

Salary and Benefits
CA San Francisco Bay Area Salary Range for this position: $117,000.00 - $259,000.00
The above salary range for this position is relevant to applicants that reside or work onsite in the California, San Francisco Bay Area only. Salary offers will depend on factors that include the location you work from, your level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Actual salary may vary from salary offered due to numerous factors including but not limited to unpaid time off, unpaid leave, company mandated shutdown, and other relevant factors.
