Mechanical Engineer – Join Our Team at Invacare!

Did you study mechanical engineering because you have a passion for making things? Do you enjoy the entire design process, from hands-on prototyping to detailing drawings? Are you able to communicate your ideas clearly and think on your feet? If so, we want to meet you!

At Invacare, you’ll be part of an experienced engineering team that values collaboration and innovation. We’re not just a design center—we’re also a manufacturer, meaning your ideas will quickly become reality. Our products make a real impact, helping to change lives in the mobility industry.

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a key role in developing new and improved products while solving production challenges. You’ll use SolidWorks extensively, but hands-on problem-solving, prototyping, and clear communication are just as important. You’ll have access to a full machine/fabrication shop and 3D printing, as well as direct collaboration with trusted local and overseas suppliers from prototype to production.

This is an in-office position in Elyria, OH.

      Key Responsibilities:

      • Develop new products and improve existing products, from concept through production
      • Collaborate with cross functional product development team members
      • Create engineering specifications, drawings, and test plans
      • Work hands-on with machining, fabrication, and prototyping tools
      • Support regulatory compliance, including FDA-compliant design documentation

If you're looking for an opportunity where your engineering skills make a real impact, apply now and join our team!
