      BWXT’s Nuclear Operations Group - Lynchburg is currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer for its Industrial Engineering Unit in Lynchburg, VA location!

      Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

      • Design complex mechanical systems related to facility infrastructure (HVAC, process plumbing, pumps, etc.)
      • Review and write technical specifications for facility equipment and buildings.
      • Manage projects related to mechanical infrastructure additions, replacements, or modifications.
      • Work alongside other facility engineers, contractors, and maintenance groups.
      • Performs other duties as assigned.

      Required Qualifications:

      • BS in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology.
      • Past experience with industrial/facility infrastructure design and industrial equipment.

        -CAD experience (MicroStation preferred but not mandatory).

        -Must be able to demonstrate superior written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.

        -Must be highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.

        -Must be a US Citizen with no dual citizenship.

        -Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Department of Energy (DOE) clearance.
