Job Description

- Product Design & Development: Lead the design and development of new products and product improvements using CAD software, specifically SolidWorks. This includes creating detailed drawings with proper GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) to ensure manufacturability and quality.
- Prototyping & Testing: Build and test prototypes to validate design concepts and ensure they meet performance and durability requirements.
- Manufacturing Support: Collaborate with the manufacturing team to ensure designs are optimized for production. Troubleshoot issues on the production line and implement solutions to improve efficiency and reduce defects.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including Bills of Materials (BOMs), test procedures, and engineering change orders (ECOs).
- Root Cause Analysis: Perform hands-on root cause analysis for product failures and quality issues.
- Collaboration: Work effectively with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, quality assurance, and project management, to deliver high-quality products on schedule.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience: 0-3 years of experience in product design, development, and manufacturing.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software, with SolidWorks being a must.
- Strong knowledge of Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
- Familiarity with various manufacturing processes, such as machining, injection molding, and sheet metal fabrication.
- Experience with FEA (Finite Element Analysis) or CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) is a plus.
