- Use and apply mechanical engineering principles and techniques to design, develop, document, verify, and support sustainment of communication products.
- Creation and modification of mechanical design artifacts (models, drawings).
- Support prototype build and verification and pre-qualification testing
- Work closely with a multidiscipline team to ensure defined requirements are consistently met in all phases of a product's lifecycle, including supporting integration, testing and qualification of the final product.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and two years of prior relevant experience OR Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering OR In the absence of a degree, six years of relevant experience is required.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must have or be capable of obtaining a U.S. Secret Clearance. Candidate selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements.
- Experience with Computer Aided Design (CAD). Includes working knowledge of model creation, interrogation with a CAD tool (examples may include NX and/or Solidworks).
- Familiarity with MIL-STD-810 and/or DO-160 environmental requirements
- Familiarity of electronic product packaging requirements
- Familiarity with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
- Experience with Agile development methodologies, including planning, tracking, and managing hardware
