      Job Title: Mechanical Engineer


      Job Description

      We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Orlando, Florida. The role involves using advanced CAD systems, including Creo, NX, and SolidWorks, to develop detailed plans and designs for mechanical systems related to the Orion Program.

      Responsibilities

      • Utilize Creo to develop plans, drawings, models, and initiate formats for parts, assemblies, and installation engineering.
      • Create new parts, drawings, BOMs, assemblies, simplified reps, and shrink wraps.
      • Support team members with design knowledge and expertise.
      • Complete layout drawings prepared by others in accordance with standard engineering drafting practices (ASME Y14.5).
      • Prepare complete production detail drawings.
      • Implement design modifications to enhance product quality or facilitate manufacturing operations.

      Essential Skills

      • Professional experience using a 3D CAD system such as Creo, NX, or SolidWorks.
      • Experience with machine tool design or tool modification.
      • Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
      • Mechanical Engineering degree.
      • 3-7 years of relevant experience.
      • US Citizenship required.

      Additional Skills & Qualifications

      • Experience working with Engineers & Designers to provide component or system designs, including handling, lifting, testing, assembly, and transportation of mechanical and electrical components.
      • Responsible for engineering documentation, drawing/Computer Aided Design (CAD) maintenance and verification, and support of cross-discipline product development.

      Work Environment

      The position requires onsite work in Orlando, Florida, supporting the Orion Program. The work environment involves collaboration with MGSE engineers and requires adherence to Lockheed Martin's standards and protocols. Engineers will be expected to maintain a professional attire suitable for the workplace.

      Pay and Benefits

      The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $61.00/hr.
