      Job Title: Mechanical Engineer (Piping)

      Job Description

      As a Mechanical Engineer, you will engage in the design and modification of nuclear power plant systems. This role involves the preparation or review of various engineering documents and analyses to support the safe and efficient operation of plant systems.

      Responsibilities

      • Prepare or review modification packages for operating nuclear power plants.
      • Create functional mechanical drawings and drawings for nuclear power plant systems.
      • Conduct engineering analyses and evaluations to support modifications and operation of plant systems.
      • Develop technical specifications and procurement documents for plant equipment.
      • Evaluate vendor bids for plant equipment.
      • Perform studies and options evaluations for modifications to operating nuclear power plants.
      • Develop engineering cost estimates for small to mid-sized client-requested work scopes.
      • Visit client office and/or plant site locations to interface with clients and present engineering tasks and status.
      • Lead engineering project teams.

      Qualifications

      • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME or MSME).
      • Minimum of eight to twelve years of progressive experience in piping and plant design within the power industry.
      • Experience with pipe stress analysis using AutoPipe or Ceasar.
      • Knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards, including ASME B31.1, ASME B31.3, ANSI, and API.
      • Working knowledge of codes, standards, and regulations relevant to mechanical engineering design in nuclear power plants.
      • Professional Engineer (PE) license is beneficial but not required.

      Work Environment

      This position operates on a hybrid work schedule requiring in-office work three days per week. The role is based in Chattanooga.       Pay and Benefits

      The pay range for this position is $140000.00 - $205000.00/yr.
